Recent experiences

Young conductor with a multifaceted personality, acknowledged for her musical talent and for her propensity for innovation and listening, she conducted the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini on several seasons: in 2024 with the Grieg's Piano concerto in A minor, in 2023, she conducted three Christmas Concerts, the final show of the season  Arcipelago dei suoni with music by Verdi, Rossini, Mendelssohn, Schubert, Beethoven and Vivaldi; in the same year, she conducted the rehearsals of Silvia Colasanti’s Arianna, Fedra, Didone with the orchestra, the choir and the actress Isabella Ferrari for the Toscanini-Velleia Festival as assistant oof Oksana Lyniv, and, in 2020, she conducted the offstage music of Stravinskij's ballet The Firebird as assistant to Alpesh Chauhan; in 2021, she conducted music by Bernard Herrmann with the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale of Bologna, Pergolesi's Stabat Mater with the Virtuosi Italiani for the Teatro Coccia of Novara; in 2019, Mozart's Haffner Symphony with the Berlin Sinfonietta, the Violin concerto op. 64 by Mendelssohn and Vivaldi's guitar concerto in D with the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra of Portland for the 2019 Imola Summer Festival. 

In 2018, she had her debut conducting by heart the Symphony n. 104 “London” by J. Haydn. She conducted several times the Stravinskij’s Histoire du soldat and the Madrigals by Gesualdo da Venosa orchestrated by Maurizio Ferrari and many gala-concerts with Arias from the operatic repertoire. In 2023, she was invited by the Danish National Symphony Orchestra to give a conference for the students of the Malko Academy for Young Conductors on the discipline and skills necessary to embark on a career as an orchestra conductor. From 2013 to 2018, she conducted the youth orchestra founded by herself, MG_INC Orchestra, specialized in music for the new media, with which she began her experience as conductor by recording music for Warner Music, Paramount and Angelica Festival 2015.

 

 

Experiences as assistant and education

In 2021 she undertook an intense path of study and in-depth analysis of the symphonic and operatic repertoires with Maestro Fabio Luisi at the DRSO in Copenhagen, the DSO in Dallas, Berliner Philharmoniker, Teatro Alla Scala in Milan, Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, National Italian Symphony Orchestra Rai. Thanks to this intense journey, she has considerably expanded her repertoire, preparing herself for conducting pieces such as: the six Symphonies by Carl Nielsen and other symphonic and choral pieces, the Second, the Fifth and the Seventh Symphonies by Mahler, the Seventh, the Eighth and Ninth Symphonies by Bruckner, Dvořák's Ninth Symphony, Schönberg's Gurre Lieder, Brahms' Four Symphonies, the Fifth and Sixth Symphonies by Tchaikovsky, the Second, the Fourth and the Third Symphonies by Schumann, the Fifth, the Eighth and the Ninth Symphonies by Schubert, Berlioz’ Fantastic Symphony, Don Juan and Eine Alpensinfonie by R. Strauss; Oratorios such as Verdi's Requiem and Haydn's Die Schöpfung, operas and operettas such as Verdi's I Vespri Siciliani, Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin and J. Strauss' Die Fledermaus. Her repertoire also includes numerous symphonies by Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven's Nine Symphonies, the Third and the Fourth Symphonies by Mendelssohn, Operas such as Tosca, Madama ButterflyLe Villi and Suor Angelica by Puccini, Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana, Wagner's Die Walküre, Un ballo in maschera, Traviata and Ernani by Verdi, Rossini's Barber of Seville, Donizetti's L'Elisir d'amore, as well as numerous concertos and chamber orchestra’s pieces.

 

 

In 2019, she was assistant conductor at Scuola dell’Opera of Teatro Comunale in Bologna. In 2020 she worked as assistant of Maestro Alpesh Chauhan with the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini. 

In 2018 she did a six month internship at Teatro Comunale Pavarotti-Freni of Modena as assistant conductor during the musical season. Here, she drew the attention of Maestro Stefan Anton Reck and she became his private student and assistant at Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari for Die Walküre and for Turangalîla-Symphonie (with the great pianist Pierre Laurent Aimard), and with the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini for Mahler’s Sixth Symphony. 

In 2017, she conducted the rehearsals of Due Intermezzi Barocchi (D. Scarlatti’s La Dirindina and J. A. Hasse’s La finta tedesca) for the Festival Vicenza in Lirica with the ensemble I Solisti dell’Orchestra Sinfonica dei Colli Morenici. She conducted also the rehearsals of Mendelssohn’s Symphony n. 4 Italian and of Verdi’s Messa da Requiem with the Orchestra of Teatro del Giglio of Lucca and the Schola Cantorum Labronica.

Academic background and musical projects

From 2016 she studied conducting at Conservatory of Parma and she graduated at Imola Academy with Maestro Marco Boni (Honorary Conductor of the Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra of Amsterdam, who defines her as "my most representative and talented student"). She specialized in the repertoire for chamber orchestra in the annual courses held by the same teacher at Petite Société in Milan. She also studied in Berlin with Maestro Grzegorz Nowak. 

Between 2019 and 2020 she specialized in the operatic repertoire at the Academy of Conducting of Teatro Coccia in Novara with Maestros Matteo Beltrami, Daniele Agiman and Vittorio Parisi. 

In 2015 she graduated with honours in Harp at the Conservatory of Parma.

In 2018 she earned her Master’s degree in Imprenditoria dello Spettacolo (Performing Arts Entrepreneurship) at the Alma Mater Studiorum in Bologna.

In 2013 she founded the MG_INC Orchestra with the aim of promoting young professionals, living composers and new forms of artistic interaction between multiple fields. With this Orchestra she recorded with Warner Music, Paramount, Rai (Italian Radiotelevision) and performed at Teatro Regio in Parma, Teatro Storchi in Modena and Teatro Rossini in Lugo. 

As harpist she stood out winning numerous national competitions. In 2012 she won the prestigious international Terem Crossover Competition in St. Petersburg with the duo (harp and viola da gamba) with which she did a research about the transcription and performance of contemporary music and new-media’s music. Her numerous performances include the opening act of the concert of Ryuichi Sakamoto and Alva Noto at Paganini Auditorium in Parma, concerts for Armonie in Duomo Festival at Duomo of Milan and for events of multidisciplinary interest such as the TEDxBologna (Technology, Entertainment, Design). Her duo's debut album Almost in the air: antichi strumenti, nuovi suoni was released in 2011 by the Polish label Acte Prèalable. With the same duo she composed and recorded music for the Teatro del Cerchio in Parma. 

As a writer by passion, she published the poetic syllogue Les images for Eretica Edizioni (2023) and the novel Wundersymphonie for La Memoria del Mondo Libreria Editrice (2024).
